Leonardo Appoints CEO
LONDON, UK, September 25, 2005, Shareholders and directors of Leonardo Media BV , the industry hotel and travel industry content hub, are pleased to announce the appointment of David R. Elton as its chief executive officer, based in its' Headquarters in London.
Elton has been with Leonardo for the past 5 years as part of the executive management team and as managing director, EMEA and USA.
Prior to Leonardo he was a Vice President at Starwood Hotels and Resorts for three years, and other previous appointments held include nine years at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as Director of Marketing and Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa where he was responsible for developing and launching the Company into the markets from both a product and corporate standpoint. He also completed eight years with the Forte organisation in both corporate marketing positions and at property level.
Two other directors from the Leonardo executive management team have been appointed as executive directors - Mark Ejlenberg, Finance, Strategic Planning and Corporate Affairs (Amsterdam) and Neil Hucksteppe , Technology and MD Asia Pacific (Singapore).They will be part of Elton's management team and join Elton on the executive committee of the company.
