Stefano A. Ruzza Named Director of Operations

CEBU, The Philippines, October 6, 2006. Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa announce the appointment of Stefano A. Ruzza as its Director of Operations, with effect from 4 September 2006.
At the international hospitality chain's first and only Hilton Worldwide Resort in the Philippines, Ruzza will provide direction for all of the hotel's operational departments including Front Desk Service, Food & Beverage/Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Purchasing among others. At Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa, Ruzza's responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of these departments with a focus on maximization of revenue and profit, staff training and implementation of international Hilton service standards. Ruzza will also be in charge of all preparation for the forthcoming ASEAN Summit for which Hilton Cebu is one of the official hotel partners responsible for hosting the delegates which include Heads of States and Prime Ministers, and international media.
Ruzza moves to Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa from Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa in Phuket, Thailand where he was Director of Food & Beverage. At Hilton Phuket Arcadia, Ruzza led the F&B Operations for MICE business, events and functions, and oversaw the conceptualization and implementation of 'Tao Garden', the restaurant attached to Hilton's first destination spa at the resort. During his tenure there, Ruzza was directly involved in the rebranding exercise for the hotel when it adopted the Hilton brand in 2004, and together with the Director of Operations, led the general hotel operations and recovery from the aftermath of the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004.
With 13 years of hospitality experience under his belt, Ruzza has been with the Hilton family since 1999 when he assumed to post of F&B Coordinator, rising to become the F&B (Service) Manger at Hilton Kuching and Batang Ai Longhouse Resort in Sarawak, East Malaysia.
