Lazo Appointed DOSM at Hanover Marriott
GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ, February 12, 2008. Seaview Resort & Spa, a Marriott Resort, one of the premier resort destinations in the Northeast, today announced that two members of the property's management team, Matt Vargas and George Lazo, have been promoted to executive level positions within the Marriott Eastern region family. Matt Vargas, Director of Group Sales at Seaview, has been promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing at the Marriott Teaneck at Glenpointe, Teaneck, New Jersey while George Lazo, currently a Senior Account Executive at Seaview, has been named the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Hanover Marriott, Whippany, New Jersey.

Vargas and Lazo will each assume greater responsibility supervising all strategic sales and marketing initiatives for the respective properties, including all group business, (corporate, association, special markets, etc.), as well as transient customers.
Prior to joining the Seaview management team in 2001, Vargas served in sales management positions at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Seattle, WA, and Bally's Park Place Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.
Lazo, a twenty-two year veteran of the Marriott family, has served in a variety of senior management positions for some of Marriott's premier Northeast properties, including the Newark Airport Marriott and the Princeton Marriott. Prior to joining the Seaview team in 2005, Lazo served as the Director of Area Sales, Newark-Elizabeth cluster, for the Marriott Northeast Regional Sales Office, where he managed the sales strategies for 4 New Jersey-based Marriott Hotels.
