Whitetail Taps Former Tamarack Exec
To Oversee Real Estate Sales
FEBRUARY 25, 2008. Whitetail Club & Resort, a luxury ski and golf resort destination in McCall, Idaho, owned and operated by San Diego-based Manchester Grand Resorts, has named Rory Veal its new vice president of real estate sales and marketing.
Veal, a veteran real estate industry executive, was most recently the vice president of real estate sales at Tamarack Resort, nearby in the Payette River Mountains, where he oversaw $700 million in real estate sales and helped establish that property as a world-renowned vacation retreat.
In his new position, Veal will spearhead the sales of manor homes, cottages and estate-sized home sites ranging from 1.5 to eight acres and priced from $495,000 to $800,000. In this capacity, he will direct all real estate sales and marketing programs at Whitetail, including advertising, direct mail, media production and placement, web design, broker relationships and management of real estate staff. Additionally, he will advise on planning and on architectural and development issues.
According to John Sabala, president of Whitetail Club & Resort, Veal will provide years of experience and industry expertise to the Whitetail real estate sales and marketing program. "Interest in unique destination vacation properties continues to be high," he said. "We are confident that with Rory's insight, forward thinking and considerable talents, we can take our real estate sales to the next level."
A native of Berkeley, Calif., Veal is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and a seasoned real estate professional, having owned and operated his own development and construction firm, Group West Development, for nearly two decades - overseeing projects ranging from affordable housing to high-end luxury developments.
With Phase One almost fully committed, Whitetail is marketing Phase Two of its custom home sites - all situated on prime real estate adjacent to spectacular Payette Lake with commanding views of the surrounding mountain peaks, golf course and expansive alpine lake.
"Whitetail's combination of world-class recreation, sophisticated elegance and unlimited access to pristine wilderness rivals other world-renowned resort communities," Veal said. "Where else can you golf two rounds, take your child fly fishing, play a couple sets of tennis, wake board, hike to mountain tops and finish the day with award-winning dining?"
