New Appointments at Deer Creek Resort
MARCH 5, 2008. Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center, an ARAMARK Harrison Lodging (AHL) managed property, today announced the appointments of long-time national and state parks manager Gene Rudolph as general manager. In addition, the resort has welcomed Chef Quinn Hannon as new executive chef of Rafter's restaurant and catering services.
"As we continue to enrich the property and services for our customers, we are thrilled to have both Gene as the manager and Quinn, an award-winning chef, on staff," said Tom Nolan, AHL Eastern Region vice president. "They bring a level of excellence to the property that I know our guests will benefit from."
Rudolph brings over 20 years of hospitality management experience, having held hotel management positions in a number of parks, resorts and conference centers. Rudolph holds a Bachelors Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. In his role as general manager, Rudolph will oversee all day-to-day property operations.
Chef Quinn Hannon holds a culinary arts degree from Johnson & Wales and brings more than a decade of professional chef experience, having most recently served as the sous chef at Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center. Prior to joining the Deer Creek culinary team, Hannon was the sous chef at a number of local Columbus restaurants.
As Executive Chef, he will be responsible for creating menu items at Deer Creek Resort's Rafter's restaurant, offering a wide selection of American heartland cuisine infused with California flair, seasonal organic options and a sustainable prix-fix menu.
The additions of Rudolph and Hannon will complement the many upgrades that are taking place at Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center. A total renovation of 40 Lakeview rooms is scheduled to be completed by April 2008, while renovations to the meeting space facilities and Rafter's restaurant were completed in May 2007. The entire three year renovation, to include additional upcoming projects, is projected to be completed by 2010.
