Cambria Suites Opens in Akron-Canton Area

APRIL 7, 2008. Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH) today announced that the 108-suite Cambria Suites hotel in the Akron-Canton area opened its doors to guests last week in Green, Ohio. This marks the fifth Cambria Suites hotel to open nationwide and the first for the state of Ohio. The hotel is owned by American Hospitality Group.

"Cambria Suites is truly a great fit for this area and I can't think of a more experienced and reputable developer than American Hospitality Group to work with in opening this property," said William Edmundson, president, Cambria Suites. "With stylish and thoughtful amenities that can appeal to all guests, regardless of their reason for travel, the Akron-Canton area is definitely the perfect place for this hotel."

A grand opening celebration will be held April, 17 with a 5:00 pm ribbon cutting ceremony at the hotel-located at 1787 Thorn Drive, less than five miles from the Akron-Canton Airport -- with representatives of Choice Hotels, American Hospitality Group, area businesses and members of the local Chamber of Commerce in attendance. Since the opening of the company's first four properties, Choice Hotels has further established its place as a trendsetter not only in the select-service upscale segment but also in designing hotels that meet the needs of today's travelers.

As of December 31, 2007, 65 Cambria Suites hotels were under development in 26 states nationwide and in Canada. Like all Cambria Suites hotels, the Cambria Suites Akron-Canton boasts a stylish design and guestrooms that are 25 percent larger than standard hotel rooms. The hotel also offers the latest in technology, from a large-screen television in the open, airy two-story lobby to two flat-screen LCD televisions, CD/DVD player, and MP3 jacks in the guest suites and complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access throughout the property.

The Cambria Suites Akron-Canton features Reflect, a casual dining area that features a full barista coffee bar and serves breakfast and dinner, Refresh, a state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor pool and spa, and Refill, a 24-7 convenience store that stocks freshly prepared "grab 'n' go" salads and sandwiches as well as typical convenience store fare and healthy and organic foods.
