Embassy Suites Palmdale Breaks Ground
APRIL 23, 2008. The 150-suite Embassy Suites Palmdale broke ground Friday, April 18 in Palmdale, California. Scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2009, the 7-story hotel is located at 39375 5th Street West, Palmdale, CA. The hotel is owned by Palmdale Lodging Associates, LLC and managed by Sun Development & Management Corporation. Sun Real Estate serves as the contractor for the project.
In an official groundbreaking ceremony held at the construction site of the new hotel, Mayor Ledford and Palmdale Area Council members joined developer and owner Bharat Patel to welcome the start of the area's first Embassy Suites, the upscale, all-suite hotel option by Hilton. Danny Roberts from the city of Palmdale served as the emcee for the groundbreaking events, and executives from the property's architectural and design firm, Gene Fong Associates and HFS Concepts 4 respectively, were also be in attendance to help showcase the project.
Sun Development's Palmdale property is the first of three Embassy Suites developed by the company. After the opening of the Embassy Suites Palmdale in 2009, Sun Development will then open a 175-suite Embassy Suites at Ontario Airport, CA in 2010 and then another 189-suite hotel shortly thereafter in Elizabeth, NJ. All three properties will showcase the brand's flexible new prototype, the Design Option III, as well as feature Embassy Suites four key pillars: an open-air atrium with greenery and water feature; spacious all-suite rooms; complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast; and nightly Manager's Reception*.
When completed, the new Embassy Suites Palmdale will provide guests with a full complement of services and amenities, including: an indoor pool & spa, business center, variety of meeting and conference space, full service bar, the market place - with convenient meal options along with a full service restaurant for evening meals. The outdoor dining area will be served by the restaurant and is designed to protect guests from the elements. All Embassy Suites Hotels(R) offer spacious two-room suites that include a separate living area with a sofa bed, armchair, and well-lit dining/work table, private bedroom and bath, hair dryers, MP3 clock radio, two televisions, two dual-line phones, high-speed Internet access, a wet bar, mini-refrigerator, microwave oven, an iron and ironing board and a Precor(R) fitness center.
