Resort at Squaw Creek Names Director of Finance

OLYMPIC VALLEY, CA, May 14, 2008. The AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek, managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, has promoted Janis Brehm from controller to director of finance. Brehm, who started with the property in September, 2007, will oversee all financial operations, with the newly added responsibility for development, at the 405 room and suite luxury resort, which features several dining venues, a full-service spa, year-round pool complex, golf course, Nordic center, and on-property fly fishing center.
Prior to moving to the Lake Tahoe region, Brehm served as controller for seven years at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina. There, she oversaw financial operations for eight golf courses, three hotels, spa, marina, and numerous retail shops and restaurants. Prior to her years in North Carolina, Brehm served with Hyatt Hotels for 11 years in Cincinnati, Knoxville and Dallas.
Ms. Brehm is married with three children. "I'm looking forward to moving my family out west and enjoying the Tahoe lifestyle," Brehm said.
Resort at Squaw Creek, located at the base of Squaw Valley USA, was recently recognized as one of Cond'e Nast Traveler's "Top 50 Ski Hotels" in North America.
