Industry Suppliers Invited to Join STAA
MAY 29, 2008. Honoring their mantra, "Get Connected!" - The Specialty Travel Agents Association (STAA) announces their invitation to all suppliers in the travel industry to register for STAA's new supplier directory, slated to be released this summer.
STAA is offering a basic listing at no charge to encourage the participation of suppliers and to provide agents with a valuable reference. Suppliers, both small and large, from lodging to airlines, cruise lines, and ground transportation as well as private tour companies and specialty travel services are invited to register.
Sandy McDowell, STAA President said "We are happy to offer this basic supplier listing at no charge, but would encourage suppliers to consider purchasing an expanded listing to effectively reach and to support the agents that bring clients to their doors." The expanded listing is included with a supplier membership and means added exposure and visibility for the supplier. "Having a significant selection of quality suppliers for specialty agents to use is paramount to their success."
ABOUT STAA: The Specialty Travel Agents Association began operation in January of 2007 to offer a professional environment and resource for travel agents and travelers. Its goal is to promote and expand the business of specialty travel agents through active marketing and promotion. McDowell states, "Travel specialists can easily enhance a traveler's experience. The problem has been connecting these agents with travelers who can utilize their expertise and ultimately connecting with the suppliers in specific destinations or niche markets."
