Derrick Morrow Appointed GM for Hyatt Regency Tampa

TAMPA, FL, May 30, 2008. In a recent announcement made by Carlos Cabrera, Senior Vice President of Field Operations for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Derrick Morrow has been appointed General Manager for Hyatt Regency Tampa. He will manage the day-to-day operations of the 521-room downtown hotel and its 300 employees.

A seasoned hotel industry executive, Morrow comes to Hyatt Regency Tampa from Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, where he served as Resident Manager for one year. Morrow began his career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in 1991. During his 17 years with Hyatt, Morrow has held numerous management positions including Associate Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Bethesda and Hyatt Regency Baltimore, Director of Marketing at Hyatt Regency O'Hare and Hyatt Regency Chicago and Regional Vice President of Sales for Hyatt Hotels Corporation Midwest Region in Chicago.

Morrow attended Howard University where he majored in Hotel Management. A native of Washington, D.C., he currently resides in Tampa with his wife and their two children.
