WICHITA, KS, October 4, 2005. Value Place Franchise Services has named Cynthia Kelley as its vice president of services and operations. Kelley will provide support for franchisee operations, training and other initiatives to help maintain the brand's high standards nationwide. Ultimately, she'll promote success for the brand and its franchisees.

Value Place, a "short-term residential property," is a hotel-apartment hybrid offering weekly stays or longer. It plans to be the national low-cost provider of cleaner, safer and simple apartment-style lodging. Lodging industry visionary Jack DeBoer founded the company in 2003.

"Cynthia is already a valued member of our team. As a consultant, she helped develop brand standards," said Gina-Lynne Scharoun, president of Value Place Franchise Services. "She'll now help us implement those standards and provide the kind of world-class, day-to-day support our franchisees deserve. Our guests benefit as well, by being assured of a clean, comfortable stay time after time."

Kelley has more than 20 years' experience in quality, support and operations. Prior to Value Place, she was the chief operating officer for QA Services, a quality consulting company. Kelley was also the director of brand services at Candlewood Hotel Co. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas and completed the Harvard Business School's "Achieving Breakthrough Service" program.
