Shaner Names Richard Brezinski as GM Durham Marriott
STATE COLLEGE, PA, June 17, 2008. Shaner Hotel Group announced that it has named Richard Brezinski as General Manager of the Durham Marriott Convention Center. Mr. Brezinski brings four decades of successful leadership and management experience in the hospitality industry to Shaner, including more than 30 years within the Marriott system.
After earning his B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, Mr. Brezinski went on to serve in leadership roles for Marriott hotels and resorts in Phoenix, AZ; Hilton Head, SC; Los Angeles, CA and in the Denver area, as well as at Marriott's acclaimed Five-Star/Five-Diamond Camelback Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. Mr. Brezinski earned numerous, national associate, guest and financial achievement awards, and also served as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Marriott's Western U.S. resorts, with responsibility for Arizona, California and Hawaii. Most recently, he served as General Manager of the El Monte Sagrado Resort and Spa in Taos, NM.

Mr. Brezinski and his family live in Littleton, Colorado and are relocating to the Durham area.
