Scot Toon Appointed GM at the Gayana Eco Resort, Borneo
KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia, July 1, 2008. Gayana Eco Resort, Borneo Malaysia has announced the executive appointment of Scot Toon as General Manager. Scot's role, which will be effective immediately, will encompass both the pre-opening stages of the island resort and continued management once the property is launched in July of this year. Scot brings with him a wealth of experience having been with Per Aquum Resorts & Spas for the past five years. His most recent position was General Manager Spa Collection for the group based in the Maldives. He has also managed The Fortress Resort in Sri Lanka and Dhoni Mighili ensuring both properties received worldwide recognition through exceptional guest service levels and standards.
Originally from New Zealand, Scot has worked in a number of top resorts and airlines worldwide. In addition to a strong operational background he has held Human Resource management roles for leading hotel brands such as Hayman Island, Stamford Hotels & Resorts and Qantas. Scot has a passion for developing people to excel at their work, in whatever they do.
