Thompson Announces New GM Appointments for LA Properties
JULY 15, 2008. Thompson Hotels, a collection of elite boutique hotels, proudly announces two General Manager appointments. Don Jacinto joins the legendary Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, replacing Michael Carsch, who has moved to the sophisticated Thompson Beverly Hills.
With an extensive background in luxury hotels, Don Jacinto joins Thompson Hotels from Morgans Hotel Group, where he recently served as General Manager, overseeing the renovation and opening of the Mondrian Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ and previously managed the Hudson Hotel in New York. In addition, Jacinto has held positions with The Peninsula Hotels and Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, managing properties in New York, Boston, Toronto and Chicago.

Michael Carsch, who joined the Hollywood Roosevelt in June 2007, has assumed the position of General Manager of Thompson Beverly Hills, the hotel group's second Southern California property, which opened in February, 2008. Prior to joining Thompson Hotels, Carsch spent 15 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, serving as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island in Florida, as well as The Ritz-Carlton, Tyson's Corner in Washington, D.C.
