MADRID, Spain, October 7, 2005. Austrian Reinhard Wall (47) has been announced as the general manager of the new, five-star Hotel Hesperia Tower, due to open in Barcelona (Spain) in January 2006. He joined the Spanish Hesperia Group in 2002 as general manager of the Hotel Hesperia Madrid in Paseo de la Castellana.

Prior to that, Wall worked in several countries including Germany, France, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Honduras and Spain. He studied at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management in Austria and has more than 20 years experience in the international hotel industry.

The Hotel Hesperia Tower will become the flagship of the Hesperia Group when it opens in January 2006. Designed by Richard Rogers (Pompidou Centre, Millennium Dome), and costing EUR74 million, the 105 metre-tall hotel tower is topped with a spectacular glass dome which will house the restaurant of chef Santi Santamaria.

Wall has been involved in the project planning since the early stages and is responsible for the hotel's 280 luxury rooms (including Congress and Convention, 12 duplex suites and a Presidential Suite), its 5000m Centre, and its exclusive Metropolitan Club sports centre and urban spa.
