Rockresorts Appoints Area Travel Industry Manager of St. Lucia and Miami

SEPTEMBER 18, 2008. RockResorts announces the appointment of Sandy Bell as area travel industry manager overseeing corporate and leisure sales for The Landings St. Lucia (opened in December 2007) and Tempo Miami (scheduled to open in spring 2009). In her new position, Bell brings a wealth of operational knowledge and discipline from previous tenures at luxury resorts.

Bell joins RockResorts after 10 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC where she worked most recently as assistant food & beverage director at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. Prior to that, she held managerial positions at The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead in Atlanta and The Ritz-Carlton Boston. As banquet director at The Ritz-Carlton Boston, she oversaw a team of 35 employees, maintained communications and relationships between departments, and greatly improved employee satisfaction scores. Bell is a graduate of Hotel School "Les Roches" in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.

In her current role, Bell is responsible for direct sales to U.S. retail travel agencies, Caribbean community wholesalers, United Kingdom and other international tour operators. As a citizen of both the United Kingdom and Trinidad, she has vast knowledge of key regions of importance for RockResorts' developments in Miami and the Caribbean.

Located on St. Lucia's most stunning beachfront on Rodney Bay, The Landings St. Lucia, A RockResort, opened in December 2007 with 62 one-, two-, and three-bedroom spacious villas, a private yacht harbor and Yacht Haven restaurant. The Viscount Lounge, located in the arrival Pavilion, features premium wines and spirits, a Tapas menu and commanding views. The resort also features an indigenous 7,000 square-foot RockResorts Spa offering more than 40 treatments. The Landings is opening in four phases and will have 231 villa suites once complete. Phase Two will be unveiled this winter with additional villas, a fine dining restaurant and two more pools. Phases Three and Four are scheduled to open in 2009 and 2010.

Situated just one block from the new Performing Arts Center and minutes from countless shops and restaurants, the soaring 67-story new Tempo Miami is currently under construction and scheduled to open in spring 2009. The resort will feature 56 luxurious guest rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows.
