Destination Appoints Director of National Sales, Washington DC Office

ENGLEWOOD, CO, September 17, 2008. Destination Hotels & Resorts recently opened its sixth national sales office when the doors opened at the company's new Washington D.C. location. The Washington, D.C. office is the second regional sales office in the Northeast - the company has had an office in New York for more than nine years. Jennifer Johnson was appointed director of national sales and will run the new office, which will serve new and current clients.

Johnson has been in national sales with Destination's Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa since spring 2007. In her new role, she will manage key group and meeting accounts that are based in Washington, D.C. and southeastern U.S. markets. Destination's network of national sales offices provides group and meeting planners with the convenience of streamlining their site selection search with a choice of more than 30 unique properties.

Johnson, a graduate of University of Alaska, Fairbanks, is a member of Meeting Planners International, Professional Convention Management Association and American Society of Association Executives. Johnson brings more than 17 years of professional industry experience with her and has worked with Kimpton Hotels and Grand Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, Calif.
