Panama City Beach CVB Appoints Communications Manager

Dana Lent joins PCBCVB

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL, September 19, 2008. In her new position, Lent will oversee all communications initiatives, including public relations, media outreach and community awareness campaigns. Working with the sales and marketing teams, she will focus on promoting tourism to Panama City Beach and generating publicity for the award-winning, year-round beach destination.

Lent brings to her new position more than 10 years of experience in communication and marketing. Prior to joining the Convention and Visitors Bureau, she served as marketing and public relations manager for Sprint Nextel for five years. While there, Lent managed publicity, media and community relations programs in the Northwest Florida market. In addition to driving media efforts and overseeing community programs, she was responsible for corporate sponsorships. She also served as part of a team that developed advertising strategies and event collateral to support sweepstakes, local marketing and sales

Earlier in her career, Lent worked with the National Football League's Jacksonville Jaguars, holding various positions within the organization's events and corporate sponsorship departments.

An active member of the Junior Service League of Panama City, Inc., Lent has managed public relations for the League's signature fundraising event, Holly Fair.

Lent has a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama. She lives in Panama City Beach with her husband and two children. Running and swimming in the destination's award-winning beaches are among her favorite pastimes.
