John Luckett Named GM at Bohemian Hotel
ASHEVILLE, NC, October 6, 2008. The Bohemian Hotel Asheville at Biltmore Village, a Kessler Collection luxury property, today announces the appointment of John Luckett as general manager of the 104-room hotel that is slated to open this winter.
Luckett, an 18-year veteran of the hospitality industry, comes most recently from La Posada De Santa Fe Resort & Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he was the General Manager. While there, John led the team to move from a AAA Three-Diamond to a AAA Four-Diamond rating, moved annual revenues from $14 million to $16.3 million and oversaw a $6 million renovation of the hotel.
Prior to his role at La Posada De Santa Fe Resort & Spa, John served as the General Manager at the Keystone Lodge & Spa in Keystone, Colorado. There, he increased occupancy from 61% to 70%, improved employee satisfaction scores by 24%, oversaw a $5 million hotel renovation and grew annual revenues from $8 million to $10.4 million in his last year. John has also had numerous positions with Adams Mark Hotels and Hyatt Hotels.
His accolades include RockResorts' top honor - the "Above & Beyond" award in 2005 - and he was also named "Manager of the Year" with Adams Mark Hotels in 1994 and "Manager of the Quarter" with Hyatt Hotels in 1992. He currently sits on the New Mexico Lodgers Association Board of Directors.
