OCTOBER 8, 2008. IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG] announced the opening of a new $45 million 118-room Staybridge Suites in Las Vegas. The upscale extended-stay property is the city's first Staybridge Suites hotel.

'We're very pleased to bring the Staybridge Suites brand to Las Vegas,' said Robert Radomski, vice president, Brand Management, Extended-Stay Brands, IHG. 'Not only is it a well-known leisure destination, but Las Vegas is also a highly-traveled corporate market, and our extended-stay amenities, such as full kitchens, comfortable living areas, housekeeping and meal services, will appeal to guests whether they're in the area for business or leisure.'

The new five-story all-suite hotel, originally built as a timeshare facility, features two well-designed spacious suite options (deluxe studio and one-bedroom). All suites offer balconies with views of the bright lights of Las Vegas and include in-room DVD/CD players, functional, well-lit work stations with ergonomic seating, two-line speaker phones with direct-dial number, personal voice mail and complimentary local phone calls, and fully equipped kitchens.

Consistent with the Staybridge Suites brand, the new property offers exceptional guest amenities including a deluxe complimentary daily breakfast buffet featuring Wolfgang Puck coffee, complimentary guest laundry and workout facilities, a complimentary 24-hour business services center, a guest library with books and games for guest use free of charge, and BridgeMart(R), the hotel's 24-hour convenience store stocked with snacks, sundries, beverages and easy-to-prepare meals. Guests are invited to get comfortable in the hotel's Great Room for evening "Sundowner' receptions three days a week for complimentary refreshments, light appetizers and conversation. Internet connectivity is provided throughout the hotel with complimentary 'Wireless Anywhere.'

The Staybridge Suites Las Vegas offers the brand's new Outdoor Living Room concept, featuring a place where guests can relax and interact alfresco surrounded by amenities such as comfortable outdoor all-weather furniture, three pool-side cabanas, a fire pit, grills, music and desert landscaping. The hotel also offers meeting space for business functions or special events.

The new property is located four blocks from the Las Vegas Strip, just minutes from the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and close to several casinos, including the Luxor, MGM Grand and New York-New York. Guests looking to visit the opposite end of the Strip can hop on the Las Vegas monorail, a four-mile system running from the MGM Grand to the Sahara. Town Square, a mix of retail, restaurant and office space, and Callaway Golf Center are also a short drive away from the hotel.

'The location of this property is ideal because of its close proximity to several meeting facilities and leisure attractions,' said MJ Wise, general manager. 'Our unique extended-stay amenities allow us to cater to those who plan to stay for longer periods of time while traveling for business, as well as those visiting the area for its appealing tourist attractions.'
