Starwood announces plans to build the first St. Regis Hotel in Latin America. Scheduled to open in 2007, the St. Regis Hotel, Mexico City is owned by Grupo 1818, and developed by Ideurban Consultores. It will boast the city's most luxurious accommodations, with 189 luxurious guest rooms and suites and approx. 100 stunning private residences. KERRY D. HATCH IS NEWLY APPOINTED PRESIDENT FOR ST REGIS AND THE LUXURY COLLECTION

Starwood announces the appointment of Kerry D. Hatch to President of St. Regis and The Luxury Collection. In this newly created role, Ms. Hatch will report to Steven J. Heyer, Starwood's CEO, and will be based in the company's headquarters in White Plains, NY. Ms. Hatch joins the company as its highest ranking woman and one of the most senior women in the travel industry. STARWOOD HOTELS ANNOUNCES FIRST WESTIN HOTEL IN DOWNTOWN PARIS

Starwood has entered into a long-term management agreement with an affiliate of GIC Real Estate Pte Ltd to operate the formerly Intercontinental Paris Hotel. The Westin Paris will featuring 438 rooms, a 4,300 sq ft ballroom and 11 meeting rooms, providing a total of 21,500 sq ft of versatile meeting space. The hotel also boasts 1 gourmet restaurant, a bar and a health & spa area. It will remain open for business throughout the conversion period which is due to completion by Jan 06. The hotel underwent a EUR46m refurbishment in 1998 and the owners will invest an additional EUR12m to convert this property to Westin Brand standards, including all of Westin's signature standards and products. www.westin.com

Starwood and Flagstone Property Group announce plans for a 350-room Westin hotel on Miami's Watson Island, USA.
