Best Western Appoints Wendy Ferrill Managing Director of Worldwide Sales
PHOENIX, AZ, October 23, 2008. Best Western announced today that Wendy Ferrill has been hired as the hotel chain's managing director of worldwide sales.
Ferrill brings more than 20 years of hospitality sales experience to the position, most recently serving as director of sales and marketing for the Hotel Monroe in Phoenix, where she orchestrated pre-opening activities and built the sales and revenue teams from the ground up. In her new role, Ferrill will oversee the corporate and leisure sales teams and build sales revenue by developing new business opportunities, both domestically and internationally.
"We're excited to have Wendy on board with us," said Dorothy Dowling, Best Western International's senior vice president of marketing and sales. "Her experience and background will be an asset to our sales team and the organization as a whole."
Ferrill attended the University of Arizona. She has also worked for Remington Hotel Corporation and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. In both positions, she was instrumental in increasing revenue and developing marketing initiatives.
