Crowne Plaza Houston Downtown Wins 2008 Quality Excellence Award
OCTOBER 30, 2008. Top Houston, TX lodging Crowne Plaza Houston Downtown was one of the big winners this year at the 2008 Americas Investors and Leadership Conference in Los Angeles, an annual trade and awards show put on by brand-holder Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG).
Joining a select few properties that compose the top 5% of all IHG hotels in the Americas region, the Crowne Plaza was delighted to receive the Quality Excellence Award.
The Quality Excellence Award recognizes hotels that have maintained the highest standards in product quality, hotel operations and customer satisfaction throughout the previous review period. In deciding the winners, a panel of IHG senior executives reviewed the Overall Satisfaction ratings of every property in the region along with individual service and quality achievements until narrowing the list down to the top 5%. IHG brands in the running include Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites.
