. November 05, 2008

OCTOBER 31, 2008. Richfield Hospitality announced the completion of the Doubletree Charlottesville renovation, which began nearly a year ago in Charlottesville, Virginia. The multimillion-dollar renovation includes remodeling of all 240 guestrooms, bathrooms and suites as well as the hotel's restaurants, meeting area, lobby and corridors.

"At every point of guest contact, we have remodeled and updated the Doubletree," remarked Mark Hucek, general manager of the Doubletree Charlottesville. "From a thoroughly renovated lobby to the property's 16,000 square feet of meeting space, guests will feel as if they are in a newly built hotel."

The hotel's Hilton HHonors lounge, located on the top floor of the property with treetop views, was included in the remodel. In addition to the lounge's dedicated staff, it now also features classic board games, complimentary food and beverage both morning and night and a 42-inch LCD television. The hotel also added a Fitness Center adjacent to the renovated indoor pool area.

"Our goal for the renovation was to completely recreate the guest experience at the Doubletree Charlottesville," noted Hucek. "Our investment into this property has positioned the Doubletree as one of the area's most desirable locations for both leisure and business travelers."
