Doubletree Tarrytown Appoints Restaurant S&MM for Bistro Z

NOVEMBER 20, 2008. The new Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown has recently appointed Judie Galvin of White Plains as the Restaurant Sales & Marketing Manager of Bistro Z, the hotel's upscale modern American bistro serving fresh and creative seasonal specialties with a French flair. Bistro Z is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Ms. Galvin is responsible for marketing the new eatery and planning exciting and innovative events in the restaurant and lounge. She brings a unique blend of experience in the restaurant business, sales, marketing, public relations, and acting in theater, television and film.
Prior to joining the Doubletree, Ms. Galvin was the Catering Sales Manager with the Chart House Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry and Weehawken, NJ. Before that, while working as a substitute teacher in the Westport, CT public school system, she also appeared in television, film and theater shows including "War of the Worlds," "National Treasure," "Law & Order CI & SVU," "All My Children," "The Sopranos," and many others.
Earlier in her career, she was the Sales & Marketing Manager for Morton's The Steakhouse in Hartford, CT. Prior to that, she ran her own advertising, public relations and marketing firm, Judie Galvin & Company, in Boca Raton, FL.
Ms. Galvin holds a B.A. in Communications from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT.
