. October 14, 2008

MIAMI, FL, November 6, 2006. The Regent South Beach, opening December 1, 2006, has added to its experienced executive team with the appointment of a new general manager, Helena Blat. Blat's extensive experience in some of Miami's and New York's most fashionable properties has prepared her for the Regent South Beach's signature balance of luxury and style.

Helena Blat brings an expert knowledge of South Beach's distinct energy, Miami's VIP scene and the demands of affluent clientele. Most recently, Blat served as hotel manager of the 307-room Shore Club where she concentrated on revamping the hotel's VIP focus and implemented its first guest history database. Before this, Blat served as corporate director of operations for Morgans Hotel Group. Blat also served as director of style, followed by director of rooms, at the W Union Square and director of operations at the W New York.

According to Blat, her previous experiences will help her bring the Regent level of luxury to South Beach. "I've learned how to merge the unique energy of a city with classic sophistication to create outstanding guest experiences," Blat said. As the Regent South Beach's general manager, Blat will ensure that every guest enjoys the hotel's exclusive indulgences and the local flair of South Beach.

According to Monica Neumann, vice president of operations for Regent Luxury Brand, "Blat's work with the Shore Club and her intimate knowledge of Miami make her a perfect fit for the Regent South Beach, dedicated, as all Regent hotels are, to participating in the local community and connecting guests with their surroundings. Helena not only brings her management expertise and instinct for style; she brings a knowledge and love of the area that will ensure the Regent South Beach opens as a major, thriving property in the Art Deco District."
