CARINO Collection Announces Senior Staff Appointments
Luxury Hotel Group Adds Key Executive-Level Positions
DECEMBER 5, 2008. The CARINO Collection, a sales and customer information company dedicated to assisting luxury hotels, is pleased to announce the appointments of five individuals to new senior staff positions within the organization. The positions were created as a part of new key growth initiatives CARINO Collection is planning in the areas of sales, marketing and reservations in 2009. The appointments are as follows: Peter M. Kressaty has been promoted to Senior Vice President; Colleen McCollum has been promoted to Vice President, Sales; Edward Socorro joins the organization as Vice President, Advertising and Marketing; Charlotte A. Mordaunt joins the company as Vice President of Revenue and Reservation Services; and Sandy B. Goicoechea has been promoted to Executive Assistant.

Peter M. Kressaty, CARINO Collection's new Senior Vice President, is a veteran of the hospitality industry with over 12 years of experience and joined the CARINO Collection in 2003 as a charter employee serving as Vice President. Kressaty's contributions have been critical to CARINO Collection's success on many levels, with emphasis on new membership development, standard operating procedures, and client relations. His experience in the hospitality industry includes many well known brands, including: The Lowell Hotel, NY; Club Quarters; Yale Club; and Hyatt.
Colleen McCollum has been named Vice President, Sales, and is another charter employee of CARINO Collection. With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she joined the organization as Director of Sales in 2002 and her immediate contributions to CARINO Collection consisted of building a global sales team and overseeing sales/revenue to member hotels. Additionally, McCollum is responsible for direct selling (B2B) to the corporate transient market. After achieving year-over-year growth, the CARINO Collection was compelled to promote her to Executive Director of Sales in just three short years and now Vice President, Sales two years later. Prior to her roles at CARINO Collection, McCollum held positions at global hotel chains such as Ritz Carlton, Lowes, and Preferred Hotels/IndeCorp.
Edward Socorro joins CARINO Collection in the new position of Vice President, Advertising and Marketing. Socorro brings to the organization more than 23 years of hotel sales and marketing experience ranging from property level, to regional, national, and international. He has held previous positions with hotel chains including Hyatt, Radisson, Worldhotels, and Le' Meridien. Socorro will be directly responsible for branding, public relations, advertising, and marketing for the CARINO Collection. Additionally, he will be creating an internal marketing program to assist member hotels in promoting their product to the corporate segment and end user.
Charlotte A. Mordaunt joins CARINO Collection as Vice President, Revenue and Reservation Services. Mordaunt brings more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the organization, and offers a wide breadth of knowledge garnered from direct experience in virtually almost every area of hotel operations from her roles in front office operations, sales, marketing, reservations, and revenue management including both property and regional positions. Her impressive resume most recently includes the position of Director, Revenue Management Service and Standards for Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, as well as past positions as an independent consultant and at companies such as Lodgian; The Marx Hotel and Conference Center, Syracuse, NY; Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel; and Interstate Hotels, among others. In her new role Mordaunt will be responsible for development of new revenue opportunities for CARINO Collection and it's member hotels through distribution channel management and new reservation services that will be offered as part of the key initiatives of the company in 2009.
Sandy B. Goicoechea, newly promoted to Executive Assistant, has over five years of administrative experience. Goicoechea joined the CARINO Collection in 2007 as administrative assistant to CARINO Collection's president Joe Carino and was responsible for critical internal functions, including overseeing the financials and other confidential matters for the company. She was also responsible for assisting the Sales Managers with booking of sales calls to top corporate accounts.
