Cane Fire Grille Opens at Miami Airport Marriott
MIAMI, FL, December 17, 2008 - Cane Fire Grille, South Florida's sizzling new culinary sensation opens at the Miami Airport Marriott with a colorful mix of flavors, sounds and textures that will entice the taste buds. Chef Joe Natoli is putting his unique spin on the internationally inspired menu, which he says, "blends a healthy dose of Florida Cracker on a Native American foundation, sprinkle in the Caribbean islands, add a dash of South America, a shake of Central America and the exotic touch of Cuba to give you the flavor of South Florida." Of course, it is all served with distinctive Miami flair! Originally from New Haven, CT, Natoli is a graduate of Johnson & Wales and has worked his way up the culinary ladder at various restaurants in the New York City area before studying and traveling through the Mediterranean. His extensive background includes spending time training in Tuscany, studying the art of wine making and mastering the various regional cuisines.
Cane Fine Fire Grille debuts inside the upscale, 366-room Miami Airport Marriott, part of a revolutionary concept from Marriott, in which three different Marriott properties - the Miami Airport Marriott, the Courtyard by Marriott and a planned Residence Inn - are located together on one convenient campus for business and leisure travelers. The contemporary and casual eatery and lounge compliments this exciting venue with interior design elements that boast natural wood flooring and striking metallic accents creating a crisp open feel. Cane Fire Grille dining guests will enjoy such delectable dishes as Mojito-marinated shrimp with spiced black beans and coconut rice; sea salt crusted NY strip chimichurri with citrus and black pepper yuca planks; cane fire ahi tuna sugar cane speared with Bacardi Coco rum & pepper glaze, served with spiced boniato mash and seasonal vegetable; and Malta braised short ribs osso bucco. The lunch menu features a delectable assortment of fresh salads, soups, sandwiches and hearty delights such as Serrano wrapped Gulf grouper or heirloom Calypso black bean soup with Chorizo.
