JANUARY 15, 2009 - The Fairfield Inn brand, by Marriott (NYSE:MAR), is making a splash with a fresh new design. The contemporary new decor is transforming the guest experience with a warm and welcoming environment, developed to address every traveler's needs and invite them with bright and lively colors.
Fairfield Inn, a leading brand in the moderate tier lodging category, is designed for today's traveler who is looking to be productive on the road, whether for business or leisure. Approximately 50 Fairfield Inn & Suites hotels feature the new design, with many more coming in 2009. The brand also has 180 new properties in the pipeline including several locations in New York City.

The new Fairfield Inn & Suites public space features an innovative and contemporary design that is both flexible and functional. The open and bright new lobby welcomes guests with a vibrant color palette of greens, blues, and oranges. Features include free in-room high-speed Internet access, free Wi-Fi in the lobby, comfortable beds, complimentary weekday newspaper, on-site business center, fitness center and swimming pool. All Fairfield Inn branded hotels provide complimentary hot breakfast serving delicious breakfast sandwiches and healthy items like fruit, yogurt, whole grain cereals and breads. Many hotels also offer an expanded breakfast offering with make-your-own waffles, oatmeal and eggs.
Thoughtfully designed suite rooms offer separate living, working and sleeping areas and include an additional television, microwave, and mini-fridge. The sleeping area features plush mattresses, downy blankets and crisp linens to create a truly revitalized bedroom experience.
