Sol'is The Palmyra Resort Appoints Regional DOS for UK

JANUARY 29, 2009 - Scheduled to open in June 2009, the new Sol'is The Palmyra Resort & Sp, located in the exclusive enclave of Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica, has announced the appointment of Susan O'Brien to the position of Regional Director of Sales for the United Kingdom. In her new role, she will be responsible for the business development of all market segments in the United Kingdom. Ms. O'Brien will be based in London.
"Susan will play a pivotal role in showcasing our resort in the UK market," said Lester Scott, General Manager, Sol'is The Palmyra Resort & Spa. "The experience she brings will be a tremendous asset as we continue to build our sales and marketing strategies in this extremely important market."
Prior to joining Sol'is The Palmyra Resort & Spa, O'Brien was Assistant Director of Sales at the Capella Hotel at Castemartyr Resort in Ireland where she was responsible for the day-to-day activities of the sales and marketing department. In the past, she also held sales positions at the Sheraton Fota Island Hotel and Spa; Hayfield Manor Hotel; and Kingsley Hotel - all in Cork, Ireland. O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree, a National Diploma in Business Studies and Marketing, and a National Certificate in Business Studies and Tourism from the Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland.
