WOLFEBORO, NH, February 16, 2009 - Hay Creek Hospitality announced today its plans for the total restoration of the historic lakeside landmark Wolfeboro Inn.

"The renovation process began in late 2008 and is expected to be completed in May of 2009, the property will be completely transformed with classic New England Adirondack design and furnishings throughout" said Karen Beranger, the Inns' General Manager.

The historic Wolfe's Tavern which was originally built in 1812 as an authentic New England tavern and restaurant will reopen with a refreshing new look and wonderful classic tavern menu. "The Inn is truly a destination for sophisticated travelers, the new Adirondack look and menu will be embraced by our domestic and European guests" added Beranger. "We're anticipating a significant increase in our

wedding, banquet and small corporate meetings as a result, the phones have been ringing steadily".

Wolfeboro Inn History

Built in 1812 by the Rodgers family, The Wolfeboro Inn has a proud history. The original house remained a private residence for about 75 years but as summer visitors grew in number, the residence became the Copper Kettle and provided food and lodging to the weary traveler all the way from Boston. In the early thirties, it was renamed the Carr House and operated during the summer months complete with waiters in white gloves who attended to every need of their pampered guests. The Inn's cozy rooms were filled with good books and a zephyr of a breeze from the 'Big Lake' to soothe the city visitor.

In 1987 a spectacular three-story addition, with commanding views of Lake Winnipesaukee, was added to the original building. Traditional New England d'ecor; handmade quilts, selected pieces of antique furniture and a blazing lobby fireplace provided the warmth of a country inn with the style and amenities of a full service resort.

Today Wolfeboro Inn guests may choose between modern suites with balconies looking out to the lake in the new building or the charm of the beautifully restored and expanded rooms of the historic Inn.

In 2007 an exciting new stage was set for the Wolfeboro Inn, when Hay Creek Hospitality finalized the purchase of the property. Now a new chapter is poised and ready to be written in order to provide our guests with outstanding customer service coupled with luxury amenities and an eye for detail.

The 44 room upscale boutique Inn is situated on the shore of New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee and walking distance to the heart of "America's oldest summer resort town" of Wolfeboro. The four season waterfront Inn is minutes from the attractions and numerous beaches and activities around Lake Winnipesaukee; the 153,000 acre White Mountain National Forest is nearby for skiing, hiking and outdoor adventure on its 1,200 miles of trails.

World class golf can be found less than ten minutes away at The Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club. The British golf legend and Ryder Cup team member Clive Clark designed course has spectacular mountain terrain and lake views. The course rambles over 700 mountain acres and was voted "Best New Course" in America in 2005 by Golf Digest Magazine.
