Delta Hotels Announces CEO
FEBRUARY 18, 2009 - Hank Stackhouse has been named Chief Executive Officer of Delta Hotels, Canada's leading hotel management company. Hank has been with Delta for more than 25 years and is an accomplished veteran in the Canadian hospitality industry.
Hank began his relationship with the Delta brand 25 years ago in Vancouver, British Columbia, as a front desk clerk at Delta's first hotel, the Delta Airport Inn. This role carved the way for Hank in assuming increasing responsibility throughout hotel operations in locations across Canada. In November 2000, Hank was appointed Senior Vice President of Operations at the company's corporate office. He became President of Delta Hotels in July 2006, and in December 2007, his role expanded with the additional responsibility of Chief Operating Officer. Now, as President and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Hotels, Hank leads a team of over 7,000 colleagues and oversees a portfolio of 44 hotels and resorts with more than 12,000 guest rooms across Canada.
Hank is also passionate about community involvement, and has driven the development of the company's corporate social responsibility program, Delta Helps. He was also instrumental in creating Delta's new national partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada. Hank is an active member in industry affairs and has served in leadership roles for the Hotel Association of Canada, Canadian Tourism Commission and Whistler Tourism Association.
