Elegant Hotels Appoints New GM
FRBRUARY 26, 2009 - Elegant Hotels Group, Barbados, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Zephirin as the new General Manager of The House and Tamarind Cove, located on the west coast of Barbados, in the parish of St. James.
Zephirin brings to his position more than 26 years of senior leadership experience with some of the world's most respected and highly regarded luxury hotel brands. He will manage The House, a 34-suite boutique hotel for the sophisticated traveler, and Tamarind Cove, a 110-room hotel offering an inviting blend of Mediterranean design and Caribbean charm.
Previously, Zephirin held the positions of Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, Florida and of General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey, Los Angeles. Zephirin also held the positions of Managing Director at Cunard Paradise Village and Beach Club, Resident Manager with Sandals Resorts International, General Manager at The Crane Resort and Residences, and Hotel Manager at Sandy Lane Hotel.
Zephirin is a member of the Hotel and Catering Institutional Management Association (MHCIMA) of England and a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA). Born in Barbados, he is married and has two daughters, Tasha and Annique.
