Makeover for Hammons' Rebranded Ramada Reno Hotel & Casino

RENO, NV / SPRINGFIELD, MO, March 3, 2009 - Hotel General Manager Teri Grandfield manages a successful hotel in a city that promotes gambling, but she doesn't believe in relying on chance to ensure successful hotel operations. As the general manger of John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts' newly rebranded Ramada Reno Hotel & Casino in centrally located downtown Reno, Nev., she and her passionate team are complemented by a highly respected hotel brand; Wyndham Rewards(R), the world's largest hotel rewards program; sophisticated marketing and reservations systems; and a nearly $1 million renovation. The 281-spacious guest room/suite hotel and casino is operated by Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Renovation in Progress

The former Holiday Inn & Diamonds Casino is undergoing a nearly $1 million makeover that will extend from the exterior of the facility to common areas and guest rooms/suites. Guests will immediately notice new signage and enhanced exterior lighting. Additional exterior improvements include landscaping and paint refurbishment. Scheduled modifications to guest rooms include new beds and bedding, new Ramada bath amenities, and upgraded bath fixtures, including spa-style showerheads. Common areas will be refreshed with new carpeting. The property's high-traffic casino is also scheduled for renovation.

With more than 8,500 net square feet of flexible event space, the Ramada Reno Hotel & Casino easily accommodates groups up to 500 guests. The hotel's Skyline Room on the 14th floor offers unparalleled views of the Reno downtown skyline, the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the Sparks downtown skyline. The 2,790-square-foot-room with a view is highly popular for weddings, parties and Quincea~neras.

The property's casino boasts 245 slot machines, five table games, sports-book for placing bets, and two bars for refreshments and watching sports.
