MArch 12, 2009 - John Atkisson, the former Director of Sales & Marketing at the Sirata Beach Resort and Conference Center in St. Petersburg, FL, is now the newly appointed National Group Sales Manager at the Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Keys-on-sand-key/> . This 25-year industry veteran will oversee the corporate and association markets and according to Eversdijk, "I'm confident that John will escalate our presence in those vital markets and our clients will enjoy working with him." Atkisson is a graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. He currently resides in the Tampa Bay area with his wife and two children.
Becky Humphreys, Sales Account Manager Global Leisure Travel will now also handle group sales for Pinellas County and Orlando, with primary focus on Corporate and Association. Humphreys joined the property in January 2007following 10 years serving as the Director of Worldwide Accounts for Radisson Hotels Worldwide.
