Scott Farrell Joins Sequel Hotels

Leading Industry Expert appointed Chief Revenue Director of Canadian-based hotel management firm.

MARCH 19, 2009 - Sequel Hotels and Resorts announced today the appointment of Scott Farrell to the position of Chief Revenue Director, a move that will help position the company as a global leader in third-party hotel and asset management.

Drawing on over 20 years' experience in operations, distribution, revenue management & marketing, Scott will manage Sequel's current portfolio, as well as assist in the acquisition of new contracts. In his new role, Scott will work directly with each of Sequel's revenue management teams to impact the areas of revenue and profit maximization, distribution channel strategies and decisions, e-commerce and social media, leading change initiatives, matrix measurements and market intelligence analysis.

Prior to joining Sequel, Scott held the position of Vice President Revenue Strategy for TravelCLICK, where he defined strategy to impact revenue growth for over 4000 hotels.

He is the former Corporate Director of Distribution and Revenue for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, where he led revenue & distribution strategy and was responsible for pricing and revenue management for 48 Fairmont Hotels. As the Sales and Distribution lead on new acquisitions, Scott oversaw 9 hotel integrations that included the implementation of Fairmont's culture, business strategy and technology for properties in Canada, Bermuda, Hawaii, Mexico, U.S. and U.K.

He also holds the designations of Certified Revenue Management Executive from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association and is a Certified Sales Professional by the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
