New Appointment at Accor Offices in Asia Pacific
BANGKOK, Thailand, October 26, 2005. Accor is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Kaldor as Regional General Manager - Sofitel Hotels Australia and Vice President, Sofitel Brand Asia Pacific. In this capacity, Richard will be based in the Accor Sydney office and will begin his new assignment early January 2006.
Richard joined Accor in 1992 as pre-opening Manager of the Sofitel Hyland Shanghai and then was General Manager in several key Accor hotels in Thailand and Vietnam. Richard subsequently relocated again to China when he was promoted to Vice President - China. He has been in this role since 2001 with his primary responsibility being overseeing hotel operations in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Robert Murray will be relocating to China where he has been appointed, Vice President Operations - China. Robert's area of responsibility will be predominantly Northern China. He will start his new role on 14 November and be based in the Accor Shanghai office.
