Will lead hotel's marketing and sales efforts
APRIL 6, 2009 - Hotel industry veteran Stephen D. Nass has joined the Renaissance Providence Hotel, an upscale, full-service hotel affiliated with the Marriott portfolio of branded luxury hotels, as the new director of marketing and sales. In his role, Nass will direct efforts to enhance the hotel's strategic direction and expand on its current marketing strategies.
"Stephen brings a diverse set of skills and extensive experience to his role at the Renaissance Providence Hotel and we're pleased to have someone of his caliber join our team," said Angelo De Peri, general manager of the Renaissance Providence Hotel.
Nass' hospitality career extends more than 20 years across several high-profile and well-known hotel portfolios both domestically and internationally, including many years with Omni Hotels in Washington, D.C. and Richmond, Va., and the landmark Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
"Providence is a city that continues to capture attention as a unique destination for leisure and business travelers," said Nass. "Equally as unique is the Providence Renaissance Hotel and its appeal. I look forward to expanding on the hotel's stature in the marketplace and its recognition as a top travel destination for group business and individual travelers in Providence, as well as for corporate business or leisure activities."
Nass returns to Providence two decades after earning his bachelor's degree in hospitality and finance management from Johnson & Wales University. He is from Rye, New York.
