Onity, the leading global provider of electronic control and security solutions for the lodging industry, is set to introduce a new addition to the company's already expansive line of in-room electronic safes. The Laptop 50 model will make its official debut during the upcoming 2005 International Hotel/Motel and Restaurant Show, taking place November 12-15 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The Laptop 50 combines user-friendly operation with cost-efficiency and advanced functionality, making it an ideal choice for any lodging application. As with all Onity in-room electronic safes, the Laptop 50 is designed to accommodate any size laptop computer, a critical feature for today's business travelers.

As Onity's most economical safe model, the Laptop 50 allows hoteliers to offer their guests the convenience of an in-room safe with advanced security features, at an affordable price. Secured with user-chosen 3- to 6-digit PIN code, the Laptop 50 provides peace-of-mind and convenience for both hotel guests and maintenance staff. Simple instructions and an LED display with telephone-style keypad make operation seamless and intuitive.

Other advanced features are designed to streamline operations for hotel management and staff. These include a resident master code, mechanical override, and a unique on-screen audit trail that reduces administrative time. The Laptop 50 uses 4 AA batteries, and is designed for low battery consumption. It also provides an on-screen power status display, so that maintenance staff is prompted to change the batteries before a guest is inconvenienced by a power failure.

In addition to the Laptop 50, Onity offers two other models, including the OS300 and the HT Combo. Both models offer four sizes to choose from, including laptop, business, suite and wall safes.

Onity's most feature-rich model, the OS300 is a digital keypad safe with audit trail of the most recent 960 safe events. Operated with a 4- to 6-digit PIN code, it features an anti-theft labyrinth mechanism, a non-resident master code, and Flash technology for future upgrades. For added guest convenience, Onity's unique FluoropadTM allows users to operate the keypad in the dark. The HT Combo safe is operated with a combination of guest keycard and 4-digit PIN code, and provides a 100-event audit trail. Both models feature an insertion-protected door with two solid steel bolts, "code to close" technology, a replaceable mechanism, and easy battery access. Hand-held portable programmers streamline maintenance operations and save staff time. Portable printers are also available.

Demonstrations of the Laptop 50 and all Onity safes will be conducted at Booth # 3338 at IH/M&RS in New York. For more information, please contact Bill Oliver at 1-866-866-6489, or visit www.onity.com.
