. October 14, 2008

CAPE TOWN, South Africa, October 31, 2005, South Africa's luxurious Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa has once again received "Leading Spa" status for 2006 by The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. Of the 106 hotels that applied for certification for 2006, 85 passed the rigorous, anonymous inspection process and have been accorded Leading Spa status for the coming year," said Paul McManus, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd.

"We are very proud of this initiative which was launched just last November at the Annual Convention of The Leading Hotels of the World in Palm Beach, Florida," he continued. "There has been an extraordinary amount of interest expressed in Leading Spas by the travelling public and the hotels, as well as hotels and resorts that are not among our members."

As the world's foremost authority for grading and inspecting hotels, The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. established the Leading Spas designation as the benchmark for global luxury standards in the spa and hospitality industries

To achieve this prestigious certification, a hotel's spa facilities and services must pass a stringent inspection process that encompasses more than 200 criteria. Each Leading Spa must qualify annually to retain its accreditation.

Gold-rated by Clarins, The Twelve Apostles' Sanctuary Spa nestles in a grotto on the slopes of the Fynbos-clad Twelve Apostles mountain range with the natural rhythms of the Atlantic Ocean only a few metres away. The spa's Eastern spirited interior utilises the elements of rock, glass, steel and water and blends effortlessly with the unique Moya product range, which employs the benefits of oils and plant extracts from the Cape's indigenous Fynbos. This is an idyllic retreat with its state-of-the-art spa equipment and treatments ranging from Hydrotherapy to Alternative Healing. Time loses all meaning in dry-therapy rooms, in the candle-lit cave with its plunge pools and Brine pool, whilst a visit to Cape Town's only Rasul Chamber invigorates mind, body and soul.

The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is a member of Red Carnation Hotels, an association of personally and individually run hotels under the Red Carnation flag, which stands for the best of everything. The hotel is a sophisticated, modern boutique hotel offering seventy stylish bedrooms and suites. The hotel's distinctly different and chic Azure restaurant, with its spectacular sea views, pampers each guest with unobtrusive and impeccable levels of service and attention to detail. There is also a private cinema and state-of-the-art conference facilities for up to seventy persons.
