Scott Krause, General Manager of the Heidel House Resort, Green Lake, Named 2005 Innkeeper of the Ye
MILWAUKEE, WI, November 4, 2005. Scott Krause, General Manager of the Heidel House Resort, Green Lake, was recently awarded the prestigious Wisconsin Innkeepers Association (WIA) 2005 Innkeeper of the Year Award. This award was presented at the 2005 Wisconsin Lodging Conference & Trade Show, held October 24th and 25th at Four Points Sheraton Milwaukee Airport Hotel. The WIA Innkeeper of the Year Award annually recognizes one individual for outstanding leadership in the Wisconsin lodging industry.
The 2005 Innkeeper of the Year Award was judged by WIA's Awards Committee based on the following criteria: human resource skills, ongoing WIA involvement, other industry or community involvement, personal and property achievements and leadership ability.
Scott Krause has served on the WIA Board of Directors for the past four years and is the current Chairman of the Association's Communications & Marketing Committee. A graduate of California State University - Fullerton, Krause also previously served as General Manager for The Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa in Fontana, WI.
Krause also received a special commendation from Governor Jim Doyle, for his dedication to the tourism industry.
The Wisconsin Innkeepers Association (WIA) represents over 1,100 hotels, motels, resorts, inns, hotel condos, and bed & breakfasts throughout Wisconsin. Established in 1896, the WIA provides marketing, education, legislative, and information services to Wisconsin's lodging industry.
