Fay Beauchine Joins Carlson in Newly Created Position of Sr. VP, Enterprise Sales
MINNEAPOLIS, November 8, 2005. Carlson Companies has named Northwest Airlines veteran Fay Beauchine to the newly created position of senior vice president of enterprise sales.
In her new role, Beauchine will be responsible for developing and maintaining an enterprise-wide sales process to support Carlson's business units and enterprise transformation, and will lead a matrixed sales organization focused on driving profitable revenue growth. She will report directly to Carlson President and COO Curtis Nelson.
"After an exhaustive search for an individual with just the right knowledge, skills and experiences, I could not be more pleased to have found in Fay a person with both the administrative skills to effectively create a new function within the enterprise and the sales skills and network required to make an immediate impact to our top line," Nelson said.
In her most-recent role as vice president of sales and customer care for Northwest Airlines, Beauchine was responsible for Northwest and KLM's North American passenger sales strategies targeted to corporations, the U.S. government, travel management companies, tour operators, cruise lines, incentive companies and associations. In addition, she was responsible for customer relations and sales support units that focused on customer retention.
Beauchine also was vice president of reservation sales and services for Northwest, where she led the integration of KLM and Northwest Airlines' reservations and created the WorldPerks Service Center.
At Carlson, Beauchine will be responsible for creating integrated business development and product/service strategies.
Beauchine is a member of the USO Worldwide Board of Govenors and is on the Board of Trustees for the Institute of Business Travel Management. She has been named three times by Business Travel News magazine as one of the business travel industry's top 25 most influential executives. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
