Grove Isle Hotel & Spa Promotes Marie Parodi to Director of SpaTerre and Appoints Elizabeth Martinez
MIAMI, FL , November 10, 2005. The Grove Isle Hotel & Spa has promoted Marie Parodi to director of SpaTerre and has appointed Elizabeth Martinez as the resort's director of club membership. The Grove is a 49-room luxury retreat nestled on a private island in lush Coconut Grove.
In her new position, Parodi will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day management and operations of SpaTerre, Miami's exclusive version of the signature spa brand of Noble House Hotels & Resorts. Prior to her promotion, Parodi served as lead aesthetician for SpaTerre at The Grove Isle Hotel & Spa, as well as independent consultant and lead aesthetician for SpaTerre at Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego. She remains Noble House Hotels & Resort's national aesthetic trainer for all 12 SpaTerre locations in the United States.
Before joining Noble House Hotels & Resorts, Parodi was spa director of the Roni Josef International Salon & Spa in Las Vegas and prior to that position, served as lead aesthetician for the Mandara Spa at Las Vegas' Paris Hotel & Casino. She also was the lead makeup artist and sales consultant for Sephora at The Venetian Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Parodi has received notable industry certifications from Decleor Corporate Training Center in New York City, Biodroga Training Center in Las Vegas, and Alexandria Sugaring and Academie' Scientific Skin Care, both in San Diego.
As The Grove Isle Hotel & Spa's new director of club membership, Elizabeth Martinez is responsible for membership recruitment, sales and member relations, including member activities, benefits and events. Prior to joining The Grove Isle Hotel & Spa, Martinez spent seven years at Fisher Island, where she served as director of membership services. Previously, she also served as national press manager for PolyGram Latino and was a nightlife columnist for the Miami New Times. Martinez graduated from Florida International University with a degree in English.
