Priceline Adds Telephone Reservation Option

. October 14, 2008

DECEMBER 7, 2005. Priceline.com is introducing 866-Priceline Telephone Reservation Service for vacation packages and hotel rooms. The new telephone service is in addition to priceline.com's Internet-based travel reservation services.

The new offering is a toll-free telephone reservation service that lets priceline.com customers purchase vacation packages and hotel rooms 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Chris Soder, priceline.com's executive vice president, travel services commented, "866-PRICELINE is well-suited to these products, since there's no bidding involved. With vacation packages, our telephone representatives will help customers build a customized package with the hotel and flights they want, as well as optional rental car. With our hotel service, representatives will locate the exact hotel a customers wants, or they can help with suggestions and prices for a given city and area. Here, too, customers pick the exact hotel that's right for them."

According to the company, Priceline.com's vacation packages service lets customers choose the exact hotel they want and review the final price before deciding to make a purchase. With priceline.com's hotel service, customers can choose from an extensive array of hotels around the world, each with its own published price.
