Galileo Partners with US Giant
DECEMBER 12, 2005. Galileo International was selected as a preferred global GDS provider for travel marketing company, TRAVELSAVERS. This agreement extends Galileo's content, tools and technology offerings to TRAVELSAVERS agencies throughout the U.S
"This new alliance provides TRAVELSAVERS' agencies with extensive revenue generating content, productivity tools and inherent efficiencies right at the desktop," said Eileen Kennedy, vice president, marketing, the Americas, Galileo.
"By supporting the valued service offered by TRAVELSAVERS, we are able to further demonstrate Galileo's continued focus on supporting the needs of the growing independent agency market. We are not just a GDS, but like TRAVELSAVERS, we are a partner to the agency community dedicated to identifying opportunities to drive success and longevity for agents, and delivering the tools and technology to fulfill this promise."
TRAVELSAVERS will incorporate Galileo's tools into their agents' daily booking activities to help member agencies maximize sales. Among the tools agents are able to utilize through this agreement is Galileo Optimal ShoppingSM, which enables agents to quickly find a substantially greater depth and breadth of itineraries and low-fare pricing options. TRAVELSAVERS is also working with Galileo to add more cruise lines to the organization's proprietary CruiseXpress and CruiseXpressPRO live cruise booking and management solutions.
"At TRAVELSAVERS, we are dedicated to fostering the necessary partnerships that allow our agencies to thrive in the market and truly differentiate their offerings. Entering into this relationship with Galileo will yield exciting times ahead as we leverage their established products and services to continue to build upon our current operations," said Jim Mazza, chief operating officer for TRAVELSAVERS.
