Affinia Hospitality Creates New Executive Operations Positions
NEW YORK, NY, December 15, 2005. Affinia Hospitality recently increased its hotel operations management team with the creation of three new corporate positions. Appointed to these roles are Lisa Impagliazzo, executive vice president of operations, Eric Brown, director of rooms and related services and Jeff Toscano, director of front-of-house operations.
"The development of these roles is key to Affinia Hospitality's strategy to further strengthen the Affinia brand," says Chief Operating Officer Brooke Barrett. "The newly created positions will support the company's growth into other major urban markets."
Executive Vice President of Operations
As Executive Vice President of Operations, Impagliazzo will be responsible for driving growth in revenue and profitability for all hotels in the Affinia Hospitality portfolio. In addition, she will work closely with the development team in acquiring new management contracts.
Impagliazzo's expertise in operations and development will be integral to the expansion of the Affinia and Benjamin brands. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Operations of the Americas for Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts. She was responsible for the operation of all properties in North and South America and the Caribbean. In addition, she oversaw the repositioning of three key assets and worked with Meridien's development team in the acquisition of management contracts.
Director of Rooms and Related Services
Eric Brown, an Affinia veteran, steps into the role of Director of Rooms and Related Services. He will oversee the laundry operations, housekeeping, maintenance and all other back-of-house operations. Brown will provide training, support and guidance while working closely with the general managers and other corporate departments.
Brown was previously assistant general manager at the Affinia Dumont, responsible for daily operations at the hotel. He also oversaw the ongoing execution of the Dumont's unique fitness positioning, making sure it was reflected in every aspect of the hotel.
Director of Front-of-House Operations
As Front-of-House Operations Director, Jeff Toscano will be responsible for advancing internal efficiencies to enhance guest services and for ensuring the integrity of brand standards.
With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Toscano previously served as general manager at New York's Hotel Roger Williams, where he oversaw a major renovation and repositioning. Before joining Hotel Roger Williams, during his seven-year tenure with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Toscano played a key role in the openings of five Westin Hotels throughout the United States. He then joined Le Meridien in Beverly Hills as Director of Rooms and additionally assisted with the opening of the Le Meridien Minneapolis.
