PALM SPRINGS, CA, June 17, 2005. Nestled beneath the ever-changing hues of the dramatic San Jacinto Mountains and amidst the distinct retro-appeal of Hollywood's Golden-era playground, Viceroy Palm Springs Resort & Estrella Spa has recently completed construction on its exquisitely-rendered Presidio Meeting Room. Located just two hours from central Los Angeles, Palm Spring's desert beauty and oasis location provide the ideal context for intimate meetings or weddings, corporate retreats, incentive events and more. Viceroy's Presidio Meeting Room can accommodate up to 175 participants and over 200 in its private courtyard.

The Presidio occupies its own exclusive building in Viceroy's sublime oasis of deftly-manicured grounds brimming with citrus trees and serene pools. Built in California's quintessential Spanish-colonial style, its distinctive roof of arched, sienna-colored Spanish tile provides a natural insulation from the desert sun. Breezy French doors open onto private patios , framed by charming bougainvillea-laden trestles, and border the Presidio Courtyard. In keeping with Kelly Wearstler's bold design sensibility, the interior is adorned in dramatic white, silver and onyx tones. Murano glass chandeliers and wall mirrors catch the dazzling desert light, lending definition to art-deco wall sconces and crisp molding details.

Ideal for weddings, events and off-site meetings, the central Presidio meeting room is a 1,664 square-foot banquet-ready reception space outfitted to accommodate 175 guests, with a partition feature that creates two separate meeting rooms. A seated, classroom-style layout accommodates 115. This multi-purpose room has two automated 72" high x 84" wide drop screens, state-of-the-art sound system, high-speed internet connection, dimmable lighting, windows with black-out drapes and A/C controls. Restrooms are located within the complex, as is an on-site separate kitchen facility. Additional boardrooms are available upon request.

Partitioned, The Presidio Room creates Presidio South and Presidio North - 988 square feet for up to 104 participants, and 676 square feet for up to 71 participants, respectively. Each retains a set of French doors opening onto a patio and the Presidio Courtyard. Rooms are equipped with one 72" x 84" drop screen and all other features.

For outdoor receptions and events, the lushly-landscaped, private Presidio Courtyard adjacent to the Presidio building provides flexible space to accommodate up to 210 participants. Tenting services are also available.
