Leland Lewis Takes GM Spot at InterContinental in New York
NEW YORK, NY, January 12, 2006. Leland Lewis was named General Manager for the InterContinental The Barclay New York. In this position, Lewis will be responsible for the operations and profitability of the 686-room hotel, the flagship hotel for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in North America.
He was most recently the General Manager for the InterContinental Hotels Cleveland, where he was responsible for three hotels on the Cleveland Clinic campus, the Guest House, the InterContinental Suites Hotel, and the InterContinental Hotel and Conference Center.
Lewis has spent the vast majority of his career with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. Prior to his tenure at the InterContinental Hotels Cleveland, he was also the General Manager for the Hotel InterContinental New Orleans and The General Manager in Training at the Hotel InterContinental Toronto and InterContinental Montreal, Quebec. He has also held positions at Four Seasons Hotels in Chicago, New York City and San Francisco. Lewis rejoins the InterContinental The Barclay New York, where he started his InterContinental career as Director of Marketing in 1983.
