BRIDGEPORT, WV, June 21, 2005. Microtel Inns & Suites, the all newly-constructed budget hotel chain, will build an 85-room hotel at Charles Pointe according to an announcement made today by Jamie Corton, managing partner of Genesis Partners, developer of Charles Pointe, a $750 million-plus master-planned community.

"We are delighted to welcome Microtel Inns & Suites to north central West Virginia. The hotel will be an important factor in serving the Bridgeport Conference Center and support the Greater Bridgeport Visitor and Convention Bureau's efforts to attract snowbird traffic as well as those visiting the area to enjoy our outstanding year-round recreation venues," Corton said.

"We are excited to be doing business with such experienced developers as Genesis Partners, and in such a high profile development as Charles Pointe," said Mike Muir, senior vice president of franchise development for US Franchise Systems, Inc., parent company of the franchisor of the Microtel brand. "We look forward to working with the Genesis team to provide both business and leisure travelers in this rapidly growing market with a contemporary, high quality hotel at affordable prices." Additional Microtel hotels in West Virginia are located in Beckley, South Charleston and Mineral Wells.

The Microtel hotel will feature single, double and suite accommodations. It will provide all guests with free local and long distance phone calls within the continental U.S., and free wireless high speed Internet access, as well as complimentary daily continental breakfast.

The hotel will break ground in late summer with the goal of opening in spring 2006. The three-story hotel will be built in the North Land Bay area of Charles Pointe. CP Hospitality, under the direction of Mike Hager, director of Resort & Leisure Services, will manage the property. CP Hospitality also manages the convention center.

"As the Charles Pointe development continues, it offers a wide variety of options for investment," Corton said. Corton also noted that the addition of Microtel to the Wingate Hotel's 116 rooms now under construction exceeds Genesis Partners goal of 200 rooms with immediate access to the convention center.
