Neil Morris Promoted to VP, Franchise Services & Operations, US Franchise

ATLANTA, GA, February 13, 2006. Atlanta-based US Franchise Systems, Inc. (USFS) has promoted Neil Morris, CHA, to Vice President, Franchise Services and Operations for its Microtel Inns & Suites hotel brand. Morris was formerly Director of Franchise Services and Operations for USFS. In his new role, Morris continues to oversee the Franchise Services and Field Operation departments, which travel nationwide to provide hundreds of hotels with on-site assistance. He is also responsible for project management for all Microtel hotels currently under construction and those with executed franchise agreements, but not yet under construction.

According to Roy Flora, Executive Vice President of Franchise Operations, "Neil is a talented team player. In directing franchise services and operations, he truly represents USFS and our fair franchising ideals." Morris won the Company's "Everybody Sells" award in 2002, and was chosen for the "Outstanding Service" award by his peers in 2004.

Morris has nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality sector, having joined USFS in 1999. With extensive background in hotel operations and sales, he has worked with such brands as Fairfield by Marriott, Comfort Inns and Hampton Inns. He was also General Manager for the Microtel Inn, Allentown, Pa. and Opening General Manager for the Microtel Inn, Greenville, S.C. He is a member of Certified Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART).

Morris graduated from Haverling Central High School in Bath, N.Y., and received a degree in hotel management from Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaiguia, N.Y. He is a native of Bath, where his family still resides.
